Overview
The SLMCCM-WHQM places great emphasis on research, both as a tool for academic education and as a core value instilled in our graduates. Our College of Medicine students undergo necessary education in basic and clinical research through an integrated research curriculum. It is the only curriculum in the country that incorporates a year-long course in Evidence-Based Medicine, to enable our graduates to properly evaluate the rapidly-advancing evidence necessary for healthcare. The College also fully supports the research endeavours of both its students and faculty, through the provision of substantial grants for conducting, presenting and publishing research studies. Technical assistance and mentoring programs enable researchers to produce high-quality researches that are at par with international standards. State-of-the-art research facilities are available for the conduct of a wide range of topics – from genetic and molecular, to community and clinical researches.
